Starpoet by Lisa Jain Thompson
Newsflash:
1.

Atop the rolling hills of earth,

Beyond the pall of this pale blue dot,

My eyes can see across the millennia,

My voice raises up in joyous song.

2.

The bright crackle of the starlight

Refracting off the neural wetware

Crystallizes the metrical rime

Into synaptic showers of transluminal vision.

3.

I build starships vaster than pharaoh's dreams

To sail upon an infinite sea

And mark my words for eternity.
