There are no bright urban lights
To obscure the Mars night sky:
The Martian cities are crumbled ruins,
If any did exist,
And ours are dreams we've not yet built
And still generations distant.
A great planet for observing comets,
If ever it would rain
And wash all the red air borne dust away.
I've heard that Pluto offers better viewing,
If you don't mind the erratic postal service
And Charon isn't occulting your view.
